A Decade of Vision

To everything, there is a season… Each January, the Rhode Island School of Design Island School of Design hosts a much-lauded, campus-wide series of events honoring the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and his efforts to create a more just and democratic society. The RISD MLK series provides members of the academic community and the larger public with meaningful opportunities for service, reflection, and personal development. Last year, in 2023, my team @includedbyfavor completed a decade of leading the creative vision for that series. Here's looking back at what we achieved in our collaboration with Tony Johnson, Associate Dean of Student Social Equity & Inclusion, the MLK Planning Committee, and three RISD presidents: John Maeda, Rosanne Somerson, and Crystal Williams. Now, with the start of 2024, @includedbyfavor looks forward to new inspiring assignments that, in the spirit of Dr. King, help our clients promote the cause of social equity and human dignity while never losing sight of the complexity of our humanness.
